Opening day for the antique booth

Two quick.... very quick weeks in the making!!!! This is my new antique and repurposed "junk" booth at a local hot spot. A dream come true.

Here's the low down on how this came about. I just happened to take my best friend by this little flea market, shabby chic, vintage junk, antique shop a few Saturdays ago. I'd been there each month on their sale days and kept telling her that she needed to visit it. We finally made a day of antiquing and ended up at this one just before closing time.
The was the first time I'd ever been in the right place at the right time. A co-worker of mine just happened to have her own booth in this shop and she just so happened to be there that night. I began to quiz her about it. Found out all the details and then she asked if I wanted to be put on the waiting list. Sure..... of course I would. The night progressed and within the next hour after closing, Becky and I ended up with a booth in the next sale event which was only two weeks away.

We began scrambling for stuff. Ransacking our basements, storage rooms, boxes, closets, drawers, neighbors houses, trying to gather enough stuff to fill 80 square feet.
Late nights, long nights, we planned and delved into the unknown world of being a bonafide "dealer".

Today is the opening day of the sale and I do believe we may be successful at this. The green chair was walking away within the morning........ whoo hoo.
That was a freebee my dad threw into my garage one day. Surprise!!!! Need a place to store this ugly thing! Well, I chose to paint it, sand it and some wonderful artsy woman paid $60 for it!!!! Can you believe that????

I had 3 hours of sleep last night........ not sure yet if it's worth it.

Here's more shots.
